Usually, my stories take place over several months. Which seems like enough time to fall in love.
But, the book I’m working on now, involves a whirlwind romance of three weeks.

Whirlwind romances–is this a thing?

I did fall in love that fast. I knew within a month of meeting my husband that I was in love with him and wanted to marry him.
We stared dating a couple weeks after we met. We got engaged 2 months after that. And 8 months after that we got married.
Sometimes I roll my eyes at characters in books having a whirlwind romance, but then I have to remind myself that’s basically what I had.

My husband and I were the exact opposite. But we’re classic broken characters in romance novels–both coming from divorced families and having trust issues. We’ve been married 25+ years so taking it slow worked for us. I’m so glad you shared your story!! Thank you!
